Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes — free for candidates during the beta.
Who is it for?
Anyone who builds software: deep systems engineers and AI-assisted builders who ship products by orchestrating AI. Rexe picks the right track for you and scores you against the right bar. (Broader ICT roles beyond building are on the roadmap.)
I'm not a deep coder — will it just fail me?
No. If you build and ship with AI, you'll be assessed on that — shipping, integration, debugging and verifying AI output, orchestration judgment, product sense — not on low-level internals you don't touch.
How long does it take?
Usually 10–15 minutes. It ends once it's mapped where your real depth is; it deliberately doesn't grind you on things you've said you don't do.
Can I just paste answers from an AI?
You can try, but it works against you. The interview asks for lived specifics tied to your own projects and follows up unpredictably on your previous answers — generic or pasted answers get vaguer under questioning, and the report flags that. No async interview is perfectly cheat-proof, so Rexe is honest about assurance levels and is adding voice/proctored modes for higher stakes.
Is there a single pass/fail score?
No. Each competency is marked verified / partial / claimed / unconfirmed with a confidence level, plus an honest summary. Showing the gaps is what makes the strengths credible.
What happens to my answers and data?
Your answers are processed by AI models to run and grade the interview, and stored to produce your report. See our Privacy Policy for what's collected, how it's used, and how to request access or deletion.
Is this a guarantee I'll get hired?
No. Rexe is a calibrated assessment of demonstrated ability — a credible signal, not a guarantee of competence or employment.
Is it identity-verified?
Not yet — identity verification is on the roadmap. During the beta, reports reflect the interview as taken.
